Vilma Tirado, formerly of Tirado-Hafftka Photography, received her BFA from New York University, School of the Arts. She is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and has photographed over 200 weddings.
Her genuine interest and enthusiasm for all ceremonies enables her to fit in easily and capture the beauty and joy of the entire day. She has an amazing eye and great timing for capturing the best moments at every event.
I have been photographing weddings for over ten years, and have recently enjoyed photographing sporting events. The similarities between these two types of events are striking.
Both take an enormous amount of time to get ready for. Both contain a high level of excitement for the main participants and for the those who are watching. Both demand a high level of energy which leaves everyone exhausted.
And finally, both are filled with young girls dreaming of their turn.
